The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is a grand touring roadster manufactured by Mercedes since 1954. The designation SL derives from the German Sportlich-Leicht, (English: Sport Lightweight). Many models come and go, but the Mercedes SL has stood the test of time – first appearing as the fixed-roof 300 SL back in 1954. Since then, there’s been six generations of the venerable roadster, with the latest version arriving in 2012 before being facelifted four years later. Check out our SL Class range here.
